RatDVD on Windows XP
Have you heard the word "RatDVD" ? I would call it RotDVD or rot RatDVD .
If you saw the word as an extension or you were forced to use the software to see a movie then I suppose you had the following problem: video or audio didn't work! If you had no problem then you were lucky? Maybe but I suppose you converted it to a DVD.
I must clarify my opinion about rot and ratdvd. I found a movie with the extension RatDVD. This file is actually a zip file with no compression. The file includes some VXO, VSI and IFO files along with a couple of xml files. The last update of RatDVD shows 12/6/05.
As I was googling around I found out that there is no port to Linux and most people who used RatDVD couldn't see the video or hear the audio. The solution to this is the free version of BSPlayer . Everything worked just fine, audio and video. The RatDVD itself couldn't show the movie.
The problem is that I haven't found any alternative to Linux. I tried VLC but nothing. I didn't try BSPlayer with Wine because it was only one movie and I wish I won't see this extension anymore.
