Joomfish vs M17N
I have seen two good extensions for multilanguage content. Joom!Fish and M17n. I have a long time experience using Joom!Fish and a "testing experience" for M17n. Actually each extension has a totally different concept.
Joom!Fish is - I would say - a complicated administrator of translations for each object in Joomla. You must translate each menu item, each article, each this and that. I remember myself thinking "where is this menu item, I want to translate it" and searching for some other objects. Joom!Fish has a great support from popular extensions. If you start using it, at first you may get "lost" but in the website of Joom!Fish you can find even video tutorials.
On the other hand... M17N is a good choice if you prefer it's concept. I tested M17N version 1.5.12 and in a few words I can say that it can help you have different articles divided on languages. If the user chooses language A, the site will show articles A1,A2,A3. If language B is chosen then only articles B1 and B2 will be shown. In their "Situation Report" article they admit that SEO is not well supported. Not strange for a new extension. It has also a good guide and this is strange for a new extension not so popular. You better test it youself if you don't like Joom!Fish. If you like it then better stay there.
